 Wind speed and direction sensors can be mounted at many points atop a building. When considering which will be the best, please consider the spot where the airflow is least disturbed. Wind can easily be deflected by roof slopes, chimneys, or nearby trees.
Also, consider how the sensor wire will run along the building. One side of the building may be easier to attach the wires to.
