The Wave Tide Clock by Downeaster is a unique new design in tide clocks incorporating a center disc (which rotates at the rate of each pulse equals a lunar second) with an image of intertwined waves.
The motion of the disc represents the dynamism of the Earth's oceans and tides as they are affected by the gravitational effect of the moon. The motion of the center disc is both fascinating and relaxing. A separate red hand slowly turns to indicate the stage of the tide at the location to which it is set--in areas where there are diurnal tides (needs to be re-set more frequently in other areas).
