No cables makes it easier than ever to bring the weather story into your home.
This wireless version of the popular Merlin instrument operates at a powerful 900mhz which allows for up to 300ft transmission distance between sensor and read-out, in typical residential installations. The wireless rooftop transmitter operates on solar power and has a built-in rechargeable NiCad battery backup for up to 7 days of operation without sunlight.
This digital instrument records changes and trends as well as present wind conditions. Readings are given in four modes: Present displays existing wind conditions. Peak gives speed and direction of highest gust since last reset. Average reveals average wind speed and direction since last reset. Forecast compares the most recent 12-minute average with the previous 12-minutes.
Features user-selectable units of measurement for speed (MPH, Knots, km/h or m/s). Can interface with Wireless Mystic to compute wind-chill. Stored data is protected by an internal 10-year backup system.
