The Certified Precision Barometer has a precision movement which has passed a rigorous standard (better than +/-1 Hpa or 0.015 in. Hg) and comes with a numbered certificate attesting to that accuracy. A test engineer places the instrument in a vacuum/pressure chamber, monitors the barometer as the pressure goes slowly up and down, and makes a note on the certificate of its deviation from the standard every 20 Hectopascals (same as millibars). When the test is complete, he signs the card, dates it, and has a supervisor sign it below. That certificate, numbered, signed, and dated, accompanies each of this model of barometer. Housed in a polished brass case with hinged bezel, this super accurate instrument has its scale in millibars (949 – 1078) and millimeters. The dial is 4 ¾” dia., and the case 7 ¼” dia. The most accurate barometer available for its price.
