Very fine quality silver pocket compass by C.W. Dixie, London 1874. Mother-of-pearl dry card with mechanical stop housed in silver case (hallmarked). Leather case with makers mark on silk lining. Incsription on rear reads: "William Poland from C.E. Edgcombe. 1871."
Measures 1.75" diameter. Great working condition. Silk lining in case shows loss (very fragile).
